Subways update

Richard Moore, Head of Transportation and Environment  has produced the following update on subways.

The vinyl wrapping to the Wincheap subway was completed on 5 September 2019 and it has been extremely well received with many people stopping to admire the images of the city. As such we are now looking undertake a similar approach to the St Dunstan’s Street railway underpass, working with the St Dunstan’s Residents Association.

Unfortunately a number of areas of tiling on the Wincheap subway ramps have suffered from adhesion problems and a remedial plan has now been agreed with the contractor. Due to the need for dry weather conditions these will be undertaken in the spring.
