20mph Zone in Bridge

Bridge Parish Council have proposed a 20mph zone for the core of their Village, and are seeking support of the Rural Forum for this proposal to make a recommendation to the Joint Transportation Board.

The suggested 20mph points would be as follows:

·         on Patrixbourne Road east of the Bridge Health Centre;

·         on the High Street, on the south side of the Village, between the Patrixbourne Road junction and the Bourne Park Road junction;

·         on the High Street on the north side of the Village, on the Village side of the junction with Station Road; and

·         at the junction of Station Road with the lane that passes Great Pett Farm.

These four points would entirely isolate the central part of the Village. The Parish Council have approved this at formal meetings, and the idea is expanded upon within the Neighbourhood Plan that they are setting out.
